Not really my own design, this one. I saw a card like this online a while ago and loved it, so I wanted to do something similar.

Anniversary Love Birds
A nice simple anniversary card featuring love birds. I've made a couple of changes but it's very much based on a design I saw online a while ago - I can't remember where or I'd make a link.

Cream Roses Wedding Card
I based this card on one I saw ages ago, made by Hayley Bignall (link to it here). I used Tattered Lace 'Rose Vine' embossing folder (for the background), and 'Delicate Flourishes' dies. I roughly handcut the spirals for the small coiled roses, and made the cream roses and leaves using Sue Wilson Classic Rose dies. The greeting was printed using 'The Skinny' font.

Personalised Men's Birthday
A clean and simple card for a male birthday. Quick to make and with a modern look. Might not work for a long name, but perfect for short names!

Clean and Simple Anniversary Card
A clean and simple personalised anniversary card, with a modern feel. I stamped the patterned paper myself, and layered it up with torn cardstock and raffia. I printed the greeting using a vintage typewriter font.

Easter Double Sided Stepper Card
While browsing card-making blogs for ideas and inspiration, I found a lovely double sided stepper card, which also had a fantastic step-by-step tutorial for the cutting/scoring process. Here's my take on Sabrina Radeck's inspiring original design. I chose lilac and lemon for my colour scheme and added some floral elements, keeping the butterflies on the front panels.
Now that I've mastered how to do this fold, I'll definitely do some more for other occasions. Decorating all the little panels was fun. Sabrina Radeck's original design and the (excellent) step-by-step tutorial for the cutting/scoring/folding the double side stepper are both here.

Mother's Day and Spring Birthday
Another unusual colour combination here: apple green, cream, chocolate brown and a few shades of pink.
And a very Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there, including mine!

Mother's Day Boxed Card
I'm trying out some different colour schemes at the moment. Here I've used soft grey with cream and pale green.

Watercolour Artwork Notelets
I wanted to use my watercolour paintings on some notelets, so I scanned the best of my paintings, cropped the image and added a simple sentiment, then printed them onto watercolour printing paper. Once printed, I double-matted onto co-ordinating cardstocks.

Dart Board Birthday Card
I forgot to post this back in September but I really enjoyed making this fun and easy gatefold card. Cards for younger men can be difficult but this is perfect for anyone who likes to play or watch darts.

90th Birthday Card
A neighbour asked me to make a 90th birthday card for her mum. I used white and lavender pearlescent papers, flat-back pearls and silver mirri card, for a really soft, shimmery effect. I used glitter stickers for the numbers. Quite traditional and feminine, I think.

Pretty New Home Card
This card is based on one I saw while browsing online for ideas and inspiration. It's made from scratch using just plain coloured cardstock. I drew a template for the basic shape, then used punches, die cuts and embossing folders to decorate it. I finished with a hand-written sentiment. It's not a folded card, by the way - it has a little stand on the back, with a panel to write the greeting on.

Print 'n' Doodle Notelets
I had some scraps of paper with circles of colour (old block printing experiments!) which I wanted to do something with. I decided to use them as the basis for some doodling. I just got out a pigment pen and went for it...
Before and After Doodling....
Then I scanned and printed the image, and made some notelets.

Pink and Kraft Birthday Card
First time I've used Kraft card with pink, and I think it's a really fresh, modern combination. I just used some scraps of patterned papers, a stamped greeting, a few die-cut flowers and some ribbon and gems.

Wedgewood Blue Birthday Card
A simple but pretty summer birthday card. Just some patterned paper, paper flowers and die cut elements.

Birthday Cards for Younger Men
After a very long break, I'm back to blogging!
Here's a couple of custom-made easel cards for younger men. I made these for my two brothers-in-law, who are both into music. I found images of an iPod and vintage record online, and used a graphics program to put a photo of the recipient to the iPod screen and add personal messages to the iPod screen and the centre of the record. I then cut out the pictures and teamed them with patterned paper, holographic cardstock, and punched 'Happy Birthday' greetings (using a really useful Martha Stewart border punch). It's difficult to make cards which are 'hip' enough for younger men, so I'm pleased with how these turned out.

Floral Mother's Day Card
So I'm back after a very long break from blogging! I've been busy moving house and sorting out my new craft room (which you can see here if you're interested). It's all sorted now and I'm really enjoying having my own space. I've been busy doing all sorts of crafty stuff in there, including lots of card making. Here's a really simple floral one for Mother's Day.
